About

From the hands of artisans to the world that needs to see them!

A Passion for Heritage

Meet the Founder Behind the Story

Hi, I’m Allen Konyak.
I grew up in Mon watching my mother weave—not as a hobby, but as a responsibility. Every thread she worked carried care, survival, and sacrifice. But despite the skill and effort, finding a market for her work was always a struggle.
That reality stayed with me.
After graduating in 2019, I moved to Delhi to pursue modelling. But no matter how far I went, my roots kept calling me back. When the pandemic hit, it exposed a harsh truth—artisans had the skill, the craft, the dedication… but no platform to survive.
So I returned home.
I sat with weavers, carvers, and makers. I listened to their stories, their struggles, and their hopes. And from those conversations, Ipseity was born.
Ipseity means selfhood—the identity every artisan weaves into their work.
Our mission is simple: to give that identity a stage.
We are building a platform where artisans can earn with dignity, where heritage is preserved, and where the craftsmanship of Mon reaches not just India—but the world.
This is more than a brand.
It’s a promise—to my mother, and to every artisan who has ever felt unseen.
We see you.
And now, the world will too.
